Rockingham-Kwinana Relay for Life

On Sunday 23 May, Roger participated in Rockingham-Kwinana’s Relay for Life, by again orating the Candle Light Ceremony.

Relay For Life, a unique event where teams of 10 to 15 participate in an overnight relay, raises much-needed funds for services, patient accommodation, and cancer research.

Participants and supporters can stay for the whole event, camp overnight, or just visit and enjoy the free entertainment, prizes and ceremonies.

It is a great opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to get together with the community and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.

Roger said, “The candle ceremony was a simple but powerful way to remember those have suffered and are suffering from cancer.”

Another successful event, Relay For Life Rockingham-Kwinana Chairperson Karen O’Donnell said, “Thank you, Roger, for orating our Candle Light Ceremony again for us this year. It is because of the generous support of the community that we have been able to raise over $99,000 for Cancer Council WA”.
