TAFE course costs to rise again

April 10th, 2015 by: Kwinana Electorale Office

TAFE fees are on the rise again, and in fact, have already risen by 515 per cent since 2013, threatening to create trade shortages because students will be priced out of courses.

The nominal hourly rate fee for apprenticeship courses will also rise by 24 per cent in 2015, while general industry training courses will rise by 19 per cent and the $2500 cap would be removed.

A large part of the Rockingham and Kwinana community rely on TAFE courses for future employment.

Our state’s economy will be the loser without a strong, skilled workforce.
